The Gold Coast Writers’ Association and the Royal Queensland Arts Society exhibition launch was held on Friday June 4th 2008

We hold literary competitions every year for
Adults and Children's writing:

The GCWA Children's Writing
Competition 2008
There will be six categories - three age groups, with 'Poetry' and 'Short Story' in each. Ages 7-17
Entry is free.

Competition Theme: Magic

(A1) 7-10 Years SHORT STORY (max 300 Words)
(A2) 7-10 Years POETRY (max 20 Lines)
(B1) 11-13 Years SHORT STORY (max 500 Words)
(B2) 11-13 Years POETRY (max 30 Lines)
(C1) 14-17 Years SHORT STORY (max 1,000 Words)
(C2) 14-17 Years POETRY (max 40 Lines)
