Children's Writing Competition Presentations
Guest Speaker: Dale Woodward - Puppeteer, Writer, Artist

Dale Woodward trained as an artist under an Archibald Prize winner before indulging in his true passion; puppets.

Dale has worked with Jim Henson of Muppets fame; Dale was a guest on The Muppet Show in the 1980s with a puppet called Ralph the Lion.

In the early 1970s, Dale began Australia's first educational children's TV show You Say The Word . Today, seven countries in the world use Dale's puppets as teaching tools.

Dale makes the puppets from scratch, which can take anywhere between a few days to several weeks. He also writes the puppet shows, drawing inspiration from fairytales, nature, and poems.
