We are presently seeking submissions from Australian authors for Aussie Schoolbooks' series of chapter books, Aussie! Aussie! Aussie!
This section of the Aussie Aussie Aussie series is aimed at Australian students in middle primary school aged 7 - 8.5 years.
Stories will be selected based on the quality of the storyline and the way in which it portrays the essence of the Australian character, Australian values, Australian multicultural society, and the uniqueness of Australian rural, urban and natural environments.
Stories submitted should also
- be fun and engaging for the 7-8.5 year old
- motivate both boys and girls to read
- have a strong storyline
- feature proactive characters from a range of backgrounds
- tackle an issue
Word extent: 1200 - 2500 words.
Closing date: 14th March 2008.
Payment type: Royalty
Submissions will only be accepted via email. They should be emailed to Shelley Underwood at shelley@ucpublishing.com and carry the heading Aussie submission . The attached story in a word file must carry your name, address, email and telephone details.
